It is a complimentary program to many anti-drinking programs such as R.I.D.E.
How does it work?
It combines the eyes of motorists in the community with the capabilities of the police. Citizens who believe they have seen an impaired driver should call the police and:
1) Inform that they have seen an impaired driver
2) State the location
3) Describe the vehicle (Licence Plate Number, Colour and Make and Model)
4) Inform the direction of travel
5) Describe the driver, if possible
With this information citizens are helping the police to locate and stop the driver before he/she can harm themselves or others.
If you are using your cell phone to call the police do it safely. Please pull over to the side of the road before making the call. Remember to stay a safe distance from any driver you suspect may be under the influence.
